Fear
Fear
Once again
pounding at my window.
Who arst thou
Who sends those shivers
Down my spine
And leaves me trembling
Like a little leaf under the storm?
You assault in the middle of the night
For no reason
Like a lurking shadow
Knocking at an unseen door
Disturbing my peace, my tranquility, my freedom
Fear, be gone!
Leave me to my thoughts
of calm and good and wisdom
Let there be love
Let there be light
Let these shine and drain you out.
The day will come when you shall peek out again
I will be ready,
To cry with you and nurture your sorrow
'Till that day please render me free
And teach me to live without you.
